Prof. Mark Edsell qualified from The University of Birmingham Medical School in 1997. He undertook post-graduate training in anaesthesia at St George’s Hospital and sub-speciality training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care in Melbourne and London. He is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and Clinical professor of Anaesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic London. Mark has over twenty years of experience in altitude medicine as a member of the Birmingham Medical Research Expeditionary Society and Xtreme Everest Research group.
