Dr Steve Rowe is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has worked with Yorkshire Air Ambulance since 2008, where he is currently Clinical Governance Lead.

He has been involved with Edale Mountain Rescue Team for over two decades, including time as Medical Officer and Team Leader, and continues to contribute to training and clinical development within mountain rescue.

Over the course of his career, his focus has shifted from what can be done in extreme environments to what should be done. His current interests lie in decision-making, human factors, and helping others navigate the uncertainty of real-world rescue medicine.
