Tim Halsey
Mr Tim Halsey, MB ChB, FRCS(Tr&Orth), FEBHS
Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon, since 2013.
Mr Halsey has enjoyed a broad and extensive training in hand and wrist surgery with jobs in Bristol, London and Cambridge, followed by fellowships in London and Melbourne, Australia. Tim enjoys teaching, has been course chair for the AO Hand & Wrist courses and is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield and a Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds Beckett University where he is part of an international group involved with research into climber’s hand injuries.
Tim was a consultant at the combined Ortho-Plastic Hand Unit at Chelsea & Westminster hospital in London for 4 years, commuting from Hathersage. He is now appreciating working closer to home! Away from work he can usually be found enjoying the outdoors with his wife Rachel, who is a physio, and their three children.
