Virad is a clinical fellow in anaesthetics and intensive care at Northampton General Hospital. He is a Focussed Ultrasound in Intensive Care (FUSIC) heart mentor and accredited in FUSIC lung, abdomen and DVT. He undertook research into the use of portable ultrasound devices during a sea kayaking expedition in northwest Greenland with the Institute for Remote Area Risk And Medicine. This won the Remote and Rural category at RGPAS 2025. He is part of the Faculty at Remote Area Risk International, the leading professional level medical and risk management training organisation in the UK.
